The applicants unsuccessfully challenged the Speaker’s decisions to reduce their monthly remuneration before the Immunity Committee and the Parliament. The applicants complain under Article 10 of the Convention that the sanction imposed on them amounted to a breach of their right to freedom of expression. They further complain that there was no effective remedy available to them to challenge the sanctions sustained, in breach of Article   13 read in conjunction with Article 10 of the Convention.
