COMPLAINTS The applicants complain under Article 3 of the Convention of the poor conditions of their detention and of having been humiliated and ill ‑ treated. In all the applications, except for application no. 17947/15, the applicants also complain that the domestic authorities failed to take measures necessary for carrying out an effective investigation into the alleged ill ‑ treatment. The applicants furthermore complain under Article 5 § 1 of the Convention of the unlawfulness of their detention. As regards all the applications the applicants complain under Article 4 of the Convention that they were obliged to do forced labour. As regards applications nos. 17947/15 and 32500/15, the applicants also complain under Article 5 § 3 of the Convention that they were detained without a court order. As regards application no. 32500/15, the applicant also complains under Article 5 § 4 of the Convention that he was not entitled to take proceedings by which the lawfulness of his detention would be decided speedily by a court. As regards application no. 32500/15, the applicant also complains under Article 5 § 5 of the Convention that he had no enforceable right to compensation. As regards applications nos. 25342/15 and 29738/15 the applicants complain that they were forced to give interviews to the journalists with the texts prepared by their captors, in breach of Article 10 of the Convention. In all the applications, except for application no. 17947/15, the applicants complain that the respondent Governments failed to take measures necessary to secure their Convention rights as required by Article 13 of the Convention. They therefore did not have effective remedies in that respect. Until his release on 21   February   2015 he was tortured, ill-treated, kept in inhuman and degrading conditions and obliged to perform forced labour.   The case was introduced by Ms Olena Mykolayivna Kushnir, the applicant’s spouse.   Instituted on 9   February   2015 by the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine in Kyiv. On 18   June   2015 the applicant’s lawyer lodged a complaint with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. There has been no response.   14021/15 Dmytruk v. Until his release on 29   April   2015 he was tortured, ill-treated, kept in inhuman and degrading conditions and obliged to perform forced labour.   The case was introduced by Ms Tamara Petrivna Sarycheva, the applicant’s spouse and by Mr. Viktor Volodymyrovych Pochernyaev – the applicant’s superior officer.   In October 2015 the applicant lodged complaints with the police, the prosecutor’s office and the Security Service of Ukraine. Until his release on 15   March   2016 he was tortured, ill-treated, kept in inhuman and degrading conditions and obliged to perform forced labour.   The case was introduced by Ms Svitlana Viktorivna Sokolova, the applicant’s partner, and by Mr. Stanislav Grygoriyovych Zavizion – the applicant’s son.   Instituted on 24   March   2015 by the Investigative Department of the the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region. On 28   August   2016 the applicant lodged a complaint with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. Until his release on 27   August   2015 he was tortured, ill-treated, kept in inhuman and degrading conditions and obliged to perform forced labour.   The case was introduced by Ms Dariya Kostyantynivna Grynyukh, the applicant’s spouse.   Instituted on 27   January   2015 by the Lviv Regional Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine. On 10   June   2015 the applicant’s wife lodged a complaint with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. There has been no response.   32500/15 Mazanko v. Until his release on 26   February   2016 he was ill-treated and kept in inhuman and degrading conditions. Also he was infected with hepatitis C by his cellmate.   The case was introduced by Ms Valeriya Leonidivna Mazanko, the applicant’s daughter.
