The ensuing criminal proceedings ended in discontinuation due to the expiry of statutory limitation periods for all of the offences concerned. QUESTION tO THE PARTIES Was the presumption of innocence, guaranteed by Article 6 § 2 of the Convention, respected in the present case (see Allen v. the United Kingdom [GC], no. 25424/09, §§ 92-104, ECHR 2013)? In particular, do the decisions of the domestic courts reflect the opinion that the applicants were guilty, notwithstanding the absence of a formal finding of guilt?
