SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE The application concerns the refusal of the domestic authorities to grant the applicant, who was detained at the time of the events, permission to receive visits from his wife

    In 2011 the marriage between the first applicant and his ex-wife was annulled (see paragraph 26 below).

  He submits that since his wife moved out in 1990 he has seen the child only twice.
